1. Dummy data: Whenever you delete data from the smartphone and reset it, always copy few songs and casual images from the web and copy it in your phone.

3. Install Secure Delete: Download this free of cost app. It will show all folders in your phone. Choose all folders and delete.
4. Install Android Data Eraser: Download this software on your computer and connect your Android smartphone with your computer. Launch this software and tap on erase your old phone option. Select permanently erase your old phone. Voila! All your apps, call logs, messages, photos, etc will be deleted.
